Gayatri Sarkar is a serial entrepreneur (2 startups), Blockchain VC and an Investor in the crypto market. She invested in Bitcoin in 2011 and considers Ray Dillinger (the early Bitcoin developer who worked with Satoshi) as her Blockchain mentor. She serves on the board of many blockchain companies working on AI, ML, financial SAFT and renewable energy. She is a Phd Physics drop out with an MBA. As an HKS alumnus, she chairs multiple development boards of the Harvard Kennedy School alumni.
She is currently a General Partner at a global Sports Blockchain VC Fund called SportVEST and co-founder of think tank BlockCAP.org (currently in stealth mode). Sarkar previously worked for a London-based macro hedge fund, managing their global VC blockchain portfolio and was a manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in charge of the US military navy global payment system, highly confidential and their biggest fintech project. Sarkar has 12 yrs of experience managing big data strategy, multi-million dollar fintech projects, working for HP, IBM, Goldman Sachs, EU Bank and Hackernoon.
